What Ceist Eile costs, where the questions come from and what it covers.
Is Ceist Eile free?
Yes. It is free while we build it: every subject, both levels, no card needed. You sign up with email, Apple or Google to use the app.
Are these real Leaving Cert exam questions?
The practice questions are written for Ceist Eile and weighted by what the State Examinations Commission papers have actually asked, topic by topic. Worked solutions walk through real SEC questions, used with the SEC’s permission.
Which subjects and levels are covered?
26 Leaving Cert subjects at Higher and Ordinary Level, plus Foundation Level Maths and Irish. And 20 Junior Cycle subjects at Common Level, with Higher and Ordinary for English, Irish and Maths.
How does it know what comes up?
We mapped every question on the recent SEC papers to the topics on the course, so each topic shows how many of the recent papers asked it and when it last appeared. Practice leans towards the topics that come up most.
Do I need an account?
Yes, to use the app. Sign up free with email, Apple or Google and your marks are saved to your account, so they come with you to any device. The questions on this website are there to try first.
I have the spelling and grammar waiver. Can I practise that way?
Yes. Turn on “Spelling doesn’t count” in the app’s reading supports and close misspellings in typed answers are marked right, with the correct spelling shown. It helps with dyslexia too, waiver or not. Numbers and symbols are still marked exactly.
What about the new specifications?
Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Business are examined on new specifications from June 2027, and Ceist Eile follows them. Geography, Construction and Engineering change in 2028; the app asks which June you sit and shows the right course.
The 2027 Leaving Cert is expected to begin in early June 2027.
