Quick ones on Sketching & rendering.
- To give the exact sizes to make it
- To make it look 3D and show its material
- To list the parts in order of assembly
- Evenly spread over every face of the object
- On faces nearest the light source
- On faces turned away from the light
- Grey tones with sharp white highlights
- One flat, even layer of bright colour
- Wavy brown lines to show grain

Why are notes (annotations) added to a design sketch?
- To make the sketch look more colourful
- To replace the need for any sketch
- To explain its features and materials
Show the answer
To explain its features and materials
Short labelled notes explain what the sketch cannot show clearly, such as the material, how parts join, how it works or why a feature suits the user.

In an isometric sketch, the base edges are drawn at what angle to the horizontal?
- 60 degrees
- 30 degrees
- 45 degrees
Show the answer
30 degrees
Isometric sketches use vertical lines and lines at 30° to the horizontal on each side. In an oblique sketch the front face is drawn flat, with depth lines at 45°.
